Check Sheets

The Building Code of Australia (BCA) incorporates energy efficiency provisions for the design and construction of all Class 1 to Class 9 Buildings.

Building Industry Development has developed a series of check sheets that can be used to verify compliance with the Acceptable Construction Practices detailed in the BCA. They have been produced in an effort to:

    • promote a consistent approach to the assessment of building licence applications when applying the energy efficiency requirements of the BCA; and
    • provide a simple solution for builders and designers when submitting information to verify compliance with the BCA.

The use of these check sheets is on a voluntary basis. They relate to the BCA Deemed-to-Satisfy compliance only. As these check sheet are not regulated, they are not mandatory.
 

To download a check sheet please select your class of building:

    • Residential - Class 1 Buildings 
    • Commercial - Class 2 to Class 9 Buildings
