The building industry in Western Australia is governed by a number of Acts and Regulations, including the Building Services (Registration) Act 2011, the Building Services (Complaint Resolution and Administration) Act 2011 and the Home Building Contracts Act 1991.
The Building Services Board has the authority to investigate and take proceedings for offences against these Acts in the Magistrates Court and refer a matter to the State Administrative Tribunal for disciplinary action.
